Deep-spool reel for live bait and big fish
The Resolute DS is the heavy hitter of FFP's spinning lineup. A deep spool, reinforced gears and a sealed drag give it the capacity and torque for fish that run hard and fight dirty.
- Deep spool – extra line for long runs
- Reinforced gears – more fish-turning torque and longer life
- Dual-sealed C-Wave drag – keeps water out and the drag smooth, up to 49 lb on the 8000
- EVA or CNC power handle – EVA for comfort, CNC aluminum for a premium feel
What it's best for
- Live and cut bait for big drum, sharks, kings and cobia
- Surf fishing from the beach on a long rod (5000/6000)
- Pier, inlet and jetty fishing where fish head for structure
- Boat fishing for grouper, snapper and amberjack (8000)
- Note: for mostly inshore artificials, the Osprey v2 is the better pick
